Errin Kancal’s work explore the boundaries between art and design. She reinventes traditionnal cultural turkish gestures.

Inspired by culture, people interction, travels and technology, her material choices is essential, aswell as the choices of the turkish craftmen with whom she works.

Inclusion of art in her work is part of each project. Her research is founded on an exploration of the relationship between her own vision and the final fonctionality of the object or the furniture. This indefcetible link between pure creation and fonctionality is the base of her research.

Graduated from the Art School Institute of Chicago and the Saint Martins of London, her studio is now in Istanbul. Errin had exhibited in Milano, Brussels and New York.
