Metamorphoses exhibition
June 28-october 8, 2019
William Coggin, Léa Mestres,
Errin Kancal, Naaz, Saraï Delfendahl et Célia Bertrand
The shapes are organic, random, and almost give the impression of movement, of a living organism.
Life takes possession of the forms, and seems to want to extract itself from each of the works to gain space.
All seem to be in mutation:
Ceramics becomes coral for William Coggin,
For Léa Mestres, the plaster or resin is "flowing",
Wood gives rhythm to Errin Kancal's sitting
The marble intertwines and becomes an astral element for Naaz,
For all, the work of the material, the play of light create a moving, expansive prism.
The 4 artists seek to change our perception of functional objects: tables, vases, lamps, become sculptures. It is a real process of metamorphosis of our environment that these creators propose to us.
Each of the works thus retains a part of mystery, as if they came from a world apart, in constant evolution.
